Who is the NEDS intended for?

The NEDS is intended for representatives of the government, industry and knowledge institutions. It is not open to the public.

Admission policy

The NEDS is open to official delegations, guests of exhibitors, VIPs, government visitors, representatives of NIDV participants, the defense and security industry, (international) media and politics.

To attend the NEDS, you must register in advance. Attendance is guaranteed only after confirmation from the NIDV.

COVID-19 measures

We are looking forward to seeing you all on November 17th at the NIDV Exhibition for Defence & Security. To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, we would like to call your attention to the current situation regarding COVID-19.

COVID Tests and IDs
All exhibitors and other attendees are required to present a valid passport or ID. They must also present one of the following three options:

  • Proof of full vaccination (For example, a valid QR-code. Note that for NEDS we will accept a print-out as well, in case a QR-code is impossible to obtain or doesn’t function correctly. International exhibitors and visitors are advised to bring both.)
  • Negative PCR Test (No older than 72 hours)
  • Official proof of recovery from COVID-19

1.5m Social Distancing and Facemasks
As announced in the Dutch government’s press conference, it is required to wear a face mask in the hall. You are also required to stick to the 1.5m social distancing guideline during NEDS 2022.

International Visitors
Residents of EU countries can travel to the Netherlands with proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or a negative COVID test. Fully vaccinated residents of ‘safe’ non-EU will not be required to quarantine, but this does not apply to residents of ‘high-risk’ or ‘very high-risk’ Non-EU countries and these people will be required to quarantine. Please check your nation’s status and the latest advice before you set off.

Disabled access

Roterdam Ahoy has many ways to accommodate those with reduced mobility. The cab stand near the main entrance may be used to drop off visitors with a physical disability and there in an abundance of disabled parking in the large parking lot near the main entrance. Furthermore, all levels of Ahoy can be reached by elevator and the bathroom facilities modified for disabled use and fitted with alarm systems. Finally, wheelchairs may be borrowed if a valid ID is presented.

Rotterdam Ahoy is conveniently situated near the highway and can be easily reached through public transport as well. It is situated near the bus and subway stop Zuidplein and only a short distance from Rotterdam The Hague airport.
